Puss- in- Boots

Perhaps I do exploit vulnerable people. But do they queue up to be exploited.
No, I think the psychic lines provide a service. A few people become addicted but then a few become addicted to drink and gambling and no one blames the publicans or the bookies.
Capitalism exploits the vulnerable. Not that I'm politically inclined, I'm just repeating something I heard Bonnie and her late husband say.
And we all know about Primark but we still shop there. And I did try giving up buying cosmetics that test on animals but it's far too easy to succumb to something pretty in Boots.
I've spent enough on psychic lines in the past but I'm over that bad phase in my life now. The lines helped, provided a temporary distraction if nothing else.
What about smoking? Still goes on, kills people, apart from fleecing them.
"I have nothing to reproach myself for." I think that's what Pavarotti's second wife said, to justify him leaving his first missus for her. "Anyone who has ever been in love, knows that love has no reason," she added. How mature, how true.
I think I gotta stop visiting the badpsychics -
Those were the days

Nice day.
The Jay's and their daughter, Lamorna, came visiting. We had lunch at a garden centre place with meercats,(I mean, we didn't eat with the meercats, they were in their cage having their own food) then walked round olde-worlde Cheshire town and church.
Then came home. Bit of work on tomorrow's speech for Renowned Tutor, bit more Youtubing and Facebooking, not to mentioning 'debating' on Badpsychics.com. Technology! I've said it before, I'll say it again, it's the Devil's time-wasting spawn.
Oh, and last night. Went with Blue Eyes to see TRextasy (TRex tribute band). Turned out they were cancelled so we saw Bootleg Blondie instead.
Great fun. Especially the fifty-year old men pogo-ing. -

Leonard Cohen - "It's, as I say, a desire to affirm my faith in life, not in some formal religious way but with enthusiasm, with emotion.... It's a rather joyous song." ~ Leonard Cohen, creator of the song, Hallelujah. He says: "I wanted to write something in the tradition of the hallelujah choruses but from a different point of view... It's the notion that there is no perfection ~ that this is a broken world and we live with broken hearts and broken lives but still that is no alibi for anything. On the contrary, you have to stand up and say hallelujah under those circumstances."
I sort of liked above. Always did like Leonard Cohen and this is such a great song. I'm 'avin' it at me funeral. I'd never actually heard it, until I went to Ireland in April, for a wedding, and some drunks were singing it in the bar.
I actually like the Alexandra one's version' it's very dramatic.

Was chatting to my mate, Celebrity Psychic, on Facebook last night. I don't know her that well, had a reading with her once at a psychic fair and have been to a couple of the courses she runs. Nice lady and she's turned up on my Facebook.
The BBC, she tells me, are making a film about the psychic lines saving the NHS thousands. People won't go to counsellers but they will ring us. I know this for fact because I often suggest a counselling number to clients but they seldom take it up. -
Made up

I so am.
Had to phone renowned drama tutor today.
Don't like phoning him. He's very busy and can be terse on phone. Still, I did. My query got answered, next thing he's all charming (very gay) and says, "I was talking about you last night. I was saying how wonderful you are, and how brave you are, and how successful you're going to be."
As I said, I am made up.
How on earth can those sceptics not believe in God.
"Stick with him" advised Bonnie. I so will. He has trained a lot of well-known actors.
"And don't say, 'oooh well you haven't heard Monday's monologue yet and oooh, you might take a different point of view when you do.'
He might. Monday's monologue is extremely difficult and I'm surfing the net, as I said, when I should be working on it.
Delphine impressed and said his help worth more than a good degree.
But I'm still hoping for a 2.1. -

Since finishing my degree, I am wasting a lot of time online. Looking up stupid websites like the above.
Signed up, 'cos I have lots to say in defence of psychics but couldn't really work out how to post stuff on it. Well, figures, according to them, atheists are more intelligent than non-atheists!
The chief sceptic sent me an e-mail. What I do is "cold reading" apparently, just that I'm not aware of it. He thinks, with his knowledge of "cold reading" he'd make a good living as a psychic but he couldn't live with himself if he deliberately deceive people.
I don't "deliberately" deceive anyone. I do my best, spend time and money developing me psychic powers.
I really could write an article on this and should. Be more productive than surfing the net.
Plus, sometimes, I feel I do a good job. Never mind psychic powers, and yes, it costs, but we psychics are someone to talk to. Every now and then, I feel I help, even if all I'm doing is reiterating platitudes.
Time is a great healer, eg.
Thing is, it's true. -

Landlady of the year.
Mentioned I had room to let to young student, earlier in the year. She was with boyfriend at the time and not interested. Yesterday, chatting on Facebook, she said she and boyfriend had split up and she was possibly interested.
Today, Facebook again, and another young student says he heard I have a room to rent and he wants it. Wants to come to London to write his screenplay. How cool is that? I'd like to think that would impress the neighbours.... So, more or less arranged for him to have the second largest room. Then, of course, Beth, first student, texts me - she really wants to have this room, I mustn't rent it to Nathan, she asked first.
I said they can fight it out between them, who has which room.
They both seem keen on getting a room with a double bed in so looks like I'll be running me usual knocking-shop.
Largest bedroom goes to Lillie who's on about some Angel meditation type thing she wants to install in it. God knows.... Doubt she'll need the double bed, bless her, glamorous girl but bats.
As for me. I have plans to convert the sitting-room into a bedroom. A sitting-room is superfluous, I've decided. That house has to earn it's keep, I have credit card debts to pay. -
Then again....
@ 2009-06-05 – 22:30:17
Lillie rang. She's back from the West Indies (her mother has been very ill).
She's keen to rent room in Hackney House. So now I'm back to my taking-in-lodgers idea. Delphine said I'm maybe safer having money in a house than anywhere else. Not sure she reckons the chances for any money I get hold of making it into another property. -

I'm now deciding I want to move. I don't know, I don't think Hackney House will be the same when I go back. It was a sorta previous incarnation.
Keep imagining a semi-rural terrace (with rail access to city). I've got belatedly domestic. 'Twas the Delia book that did it and I've even got a Nigella one now. Lemonie loved my picquant pork chops; so did her hubby except, being an unadventurous eater, he just had the pork chop and left the mustard sauce. I'm now dreaming of Le Creuset saucepans. I've never bought a saucepan in my life, I inherited all my junky ones so I deserve Le Creuset. Plus I'd like a vegetable garden, maybe hens. And less hours on the Tarot line, more spent perfecting my acting and writing.
The future's bright, the future's.... I know, I'm meant to see what's coming but.... -

Working girl. Yeah, well, I am. Student lark over. Card reading not too onerous but I am putting the hours in. Worried I won't be able to pay mortgage come July but should be ok.
Did I mention about friend's sister-in-law commenting that I was exploiting vulnerable people? Dunno. I try not to, I do work at the psychic stuff. I've had a crystal for years and last night I thought, right, time to really persevere with it. I think they are a meditation tool more than anything and the two readings I gave after gazing at the thing seemed better than usual. Nothing spectacularly spooky to report, alas.
Off to have another go. Bye for now.
