Was chatting to my mate, Celebrity Psychic, on Facebook last night. I don't know her that well, had a reading with her once at a psychic fair and have been to a couple of the courses she runs. Nice lady and she's turned up on my Facebook.
The BBC, she tells me, are making a film about the psychic lines saving the NHS thousands. People won't go to counsellers but they will ring us. I know this for fact because I often suggest a counselling number to clients but they seldom take it up.

Less stigma, no record of a psychological referral, maybe no treatment for some mood affliction being recorded either. There are many reasons and benefits packaged into the psychic route.
I would hazard a guess, though, that people who contact psychics, are likely to visit their GP's, but may not choose to venture towards the other paramedical services thereafter.
On the other hand I also heard that the medical profession are being asked to consider their patients well-being in all respects, including debt, which causes many mood problems and crises. In the current climate this aspect will be heightened.

I guess you must serve the same purpose as a counseller to some clients.
Get in touch with the BBC, they may need more first hand accounts(for a small fee)
